PSG pulled off a dramatic victory in the French Super Cup match held in Kuwait. They took the lead in the 13th minute through Ousmane Dembele. However, in the second half, Mason Greenwood scored from the penalty spot to equalize. In the 87th minute, PSG defender Willian Pacho scored an own goal from Hamed Traore’s cross from the left wing to give Marseille a 2-1 lead.

Despite falling behind, PSG did not give up. They equalized in the fifth minute of stoppage time through Gonzalo Ramos. Later, in the tiebreaker, PSG goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier became the hero by saving the first two shots. In the end, Désirée Dure’s winning penalty gave last season’s double title winners a sense of euphoria.

Marseille’s disappointment was palpable as they missed out on a win in the final minute of regulation time. After losing in the tiebreaker, many players could not hold back their tears as they missed out on their first trophy in 14 years. With this victory, PSG have won 13 of the last 14 French Super Cups.
