Bangladesh has surpassed Pakistan in the ODI rankings
The ICC has released its latest annual rankings. Australia has retained its top spot in both men’s Tests and women’s ODIs. Bangladesh’s women’s team has also surpassed Pakistan to move up to seventh place.

In the new list, Australia (131) is first and South Africa (119) is second. India (104) has moved up to third place, while England (102) has dropped to fourth place. New Zealand (101) is fifth.
One of the reasons for England’s drop is that some of the previous series results have been dropped from the rankings. On the other hand, Pakistan (89) has improved to sixth place and Sri Lanka (86) has dropped to seventh place.
Ireland has been dropped from the rankings because they could not play enough Test matches in the stipulated time.
The top six teams in the women’s ODI rankings remain unchanged. Although Australia (163) remains at the top, their gap has narrowed slightly.
England (128) and India (124) are in second place and third place respectively. South Africa (100), New Zealand (93) and Sri Lanka (89) are in fourth, fifth and sixth place respectively.
Bangladesh has moved up one place to seventh, overtaking Pakistan. The ICC said that the new rankings for men’s T20Is will be released on May 5 and ODIs on May 7.
