New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell has become the number one batsman in the latest ICC rankings, ending Kohli’s dominance in the ODI rankings in just a week. He has been recognized for his important role in New Zealand’s first ODI series win in India.

Kohli replaced teammate Rohit Sharma as number 1 last week. However, Mitchell was breathing down his neck. The difference in rating points between the two was just 1—Kohli’s 785, Mitchell’s 784.
Then, Mitchell left Kohli behind by a large margin by scoring centuries in the last two matches of the India-New Zealand series. Mitchell’s points in the latest rankings are 845. Kohli’s points, which he scored in the last ODI, are 795.

Rohit Sharma, who dropped from one to three last week, has fallen one more place. Due to his failure, Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran has moved up to three. The fifth batsman in the top five is Indian captain Shubman Gill.
Mitchell has risen to the top of the ODI rankings for the second time. However, he was at the top for only a week after reaching number 1 for the first time last November.
There is no change to speak of in bowling. All the top five have retained their places. Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan is at the top by 40 points, ahead of England’s Jofra Archer.
Rashid has moved up two places to second in the T20 rankings. India’s Varun Chakraborty is at the top by 94 points.
