However, the board has signed a contract with him for a very short period of time. Malinga has been added to the team mainly to improve the bowlers ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup.

SLC has signed a contract with Malinga for only one month. His contract will be effective from December 15. The former star pacer will work with the bowlers in the Sri Lanka national team’s plans until January 25.

Malinga does not have much experience working with the national team as a coach. However, he has shown dominance with the ball in international cricket for a long time. The board wants to use that experience in domestic cricket this time. Malinga will give special training to the bowlers for bowling in the death overs, especially in T20s.
